01

Product Research

Studied each product's retail context: shelf placement, competitor packaging, target customer, and price point. Identified the '3-second test' as the key metric: can a shopper understand the product in 3 seconds?

02

Structural Design

Designed box structures in Illustrator with dieline templates. Considered shelf efficiency, stacking stability, and material costs. Created 3D mockups to validate structural integrity before print.

03

Visual Design

Designed front-of-pack visuals that communicate product category, brand name, and key differentiator. Used bold typography for shelf visibility and ingredient transparency for trust-building.

04

Print Production

Prepared print-ready files with proper bleed, CMYK conversion, spot colors for brand elements, and varnish/foil specifications. Managed proofing with the print shop and approved final color matches.

Challenges & Solutions

Shelf Standout

Local products compete with imported brands on crowded shelves. Used distinctive color blocking and oversized typography to create visual disruption in the product category.

Unboxing Experience

Designed interior printing and tissue paper wraps to create a shareable unboxing moment. This turned customers into organic social media promoters, especially on Instagram and TikTok.
